Strength training
The strength area is built around three ideas: exercises, routines and completed workouts.
Exercises
Exercises are the movements you use in workouts. You can use the built-in library or create your own. Exercises can include body area, muscles, equipment and notes so your analytics become more useful.
Routines
A routine is a reusable workout template. Add exercises, prescribe sets, target reps, target load and rest times. Favourite routines appear higher in the Workouts area.
Use the Routines tab to view favourites, recent routines and all routines.
Add exercises from your library, set targets and save the routine for future sessions.
ulTrain opens the live workout runner. If the routine has pre-workout nutrition items, you can tick what you consumed before starting.
At the end, save the workout, add how it felt and review it later in History or Analytics.
Live workout runner
- Track elapsed workout time.
- Complete sets with reps and load.
- Pause, resume, minimise or cancel a workout.
- Edit rest timers during the session.
- Add exercises mid-session.
- Reorder exercises when needed.
- Use rest and timed-set overlays without losing your place.
Workout in progress
If you minimise a workout, it keeps running and can be reopened from the floating workout bar. This is useful if you need to check another app area without ending the session.
Free routine limit
Free users can keep a limited number of routines. Pro unlocks more routines, deeper history and advanced strength analytics.
